In addition to the fundraising gains, Thomson announced a formal endorsement from the Boca Raton Firefighters, Local 1560. “Our firefighters and first responders put their lives on the line every day to protect Boca Raton families. As Mayor, I will always stand with them, ensure they have the resources they need, and keep Boca Raton safe for everyone who calls it home.”

Thomson, a lawyer, served in Seat A on the Boca Raton City Council from 2018 to 2022 and was elected to Seat D in 2024, positioning him as an experienced voice in local government as residents weigh the field.

Election timeline

The Boca Raton mayoral election is set for March 10, with Mayor Scott Singer facing term limits. Nachlas eclipsed the $400,000 mark in a prior report when $100,000 in candidate loans were included; she added just under $30,000 via her campaign and another $31,000 via her political committee. Liebelson has raised just under $5,300 and provided a $50,000 candidate loan.
